RIP Anthony Bourdain

What I learned from Anthony Bourdain was where to eat in different cities that I have visited and to look, smell and ask about what you're about to eat. It also doesn't hurt to compliment the waiter, server and host.
I have learned about obscure as well as popular  eating places and trusted Anthony 100% on his choices, more than I can say for other celebrity chefs, but that's another story and many know my feelings on him. Hint: there are two chefs with spikey blonde hair, the other one is female.
Anyway... It was unfortunate that Anthony had to live with demons most of his adult life and  decided to end it tragically.

Resort Fees, Parking Fees. Be Aware!

Visiting Las Vegas for the first time or returning?  Things are constantly changing here but fees are a turn-off and can cost you a fortune.

I Have To Admit He's Right

In this Trumpworld era, where our Republican President makes himself look foolish and contradicts so many things that he says, this Republican candidate for Nevada governor makes sense.
Visiting Las Vegas can be costly when you figure in all of the resort fees, taxes, kitchen appreciation fees and entertainment fees. This guy wants to put a stop to the newly imposed Room Tax increase, which was created to fund the Raiders football stadium.  I agree.

Mob Museum: The Underground is Now Open!

If you needed a reason to visit The MOB MUSEUM in Las Vegas, THE UNDERGROUND is now open. Despite claims of "a still for display only"...not true.
The STILL is working and producing Moonshine. The small BREWERY is also working. The current batch of beer will be ready in about 20 days. Crafthaus, in Henderson, is the brewer of the Museum's bottled beer. The bar was doing a brisk business this afternoon with locals and tourists enjoying craft cocktails. Very talented mixologists crafting period and modern-day cocktails. It's a talent and a show. Stay thirsty my friends (I think someone else said that).

What is the Mob Museum you ask???  <<<< Click here

HINT:  If you're driving there, expect to pay either $5 or $7 parking fee. If the lot is full, you will be directed to park in the lot "on the other side of the wall" making sure you park against/along the wall. Otherwise,  you will get a $20 parking ticket.  There is a FREE Downtown Loop bus hitting all of the Downtown area, not The Strip, which stops across the street from the museum, so you might as well leave your car there all day.  Look for the large pink signs. You can't miss the pink bus, well actually it's a van.
